Praise and Adoration

Pastor: All praise be to you, Oh God. For there is no other God worthy of our adoration. Only you could set the world in place. You are and always have been – all knowing – all powerful – all seeing and ever faithful One.

People: Lord of all we bow before you in humble praise. We lift our hands in song as we sing of your majesty and grace. Oh God, we confess there is none like you.

Thanksgiving

Pastor: How thankful we are for all the ways you bless us. There are no words adequate that we can speak to adequately express our gratitude and so we ask you to love to see our hearts. Only you could restore our broken relationship with you. Brought about our salvation by the sacrifice of your Son and we are forever grateful

People: We acknowledge that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. Thank you for sending Christ to teach us, to suffer and die and rise on the third day that we could live forever with you. Thank you for the gift of sending the Holy Spirit to guide us in this life and into the life to come.

Confession

Pastor: Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace to confess our sin. We have been selfish instead of generous; we have been proud instead of humble; we have held grudges instead of forgiving; we have proven over and over again that we cannot be good enough on our own. We need more of You, and less of ourselves. . In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.

People: Gracious God, we ask for Your forgiveness and receive it with joyful hearts. Renew our minds so that we may discern what is good. Fill us with Your Spirit so that we may be Your witnesses in the world. Comfort our hearts, that we may know that we have complete redemption by Your grace alone.

Petition

Pastor: Almighty God, we come to you today in confidence, for this world in which we live is your world, brought into being through your love for all your people. And as we bring all our concerns before you, we know that you are waiting to hear us and to respond to us.

People: Lord, make this church a place of generosity where people work together, giving all that they are and all that they have, so that the wonderful resources of our world may be better shared. Help us to spend our time and our money in a manner worthy of your kingdom of love.

Pastor: Hear our prayers for Alexander Chapel. Lead the vision and mission of this church for your glory. We ask for your continued blessing and protection. Guide our leaders and our pastors as they work together to accomplish your vision for the church. Show each of us our part in ministry

People: Lord, hear our prayers and make us one family united in you. Ready to do your will We pray for Christians around the world who are persecuted for their faith and ask you to grant them your strength to remain strong.

Intercession

Pastor: We lift up all who sent requests to the prayer chain and give you thanks for answered prayer. Be with all who are not able to be with us today. For all who are grieving many kinds of losses touch them with your spirit of hope and restorative love. We pray for revival in America and that you would turn the hearts of our leaders at every level of government to seek your ways. We ask you to forgive the sins of this nation and lead us in the paths of righteousness. For all working on the front lines for our safety and protection, for an end to come quickly to covid and for all who continue to recover from the effects of natural and manmade disasters we pray for you restoring hand on them.

People: Lord, hear our prayers

All: As brothers and sisters united in Christ as a community life of worship and in service to Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen

Closing Hymn: Blest Be the Tie

Benediction: Ephesians 3:20–21
