Pastor: Eternal and loving God, today we give thanks to you for your goodness through all the years of worship in this church. For your grace in calling us to be your people, for your love revealed to us in Christ your Son, for your gift of the Holy Spirit and the joy of salvation.
People: We give you thanks, O God.
Pastor: For those who established this congregation, for their faith and vision, for their gifts and abilities.
People: We give you thanks, O God.
Pastor: For all who have been members of this congregation, for those who have given freely of their prayers, time, talents and money, for those whose wisdom guided this congregation.
People: We give you thanks, O God.
Pastor: For all who have preached and taught here; for all who have confessed that Jesus is Lord; for all who today lead in worship, witness, and serve.
People: We give you thanks, O God.
Pastor: Give us the assurance that we too belong to that great company of witnesses found through salvation in Jesus Christ our Savior.
People: Lord, we pray for your assurance and grace.
Pastor: For this country and its leaders we pray for your guidance. For the safety of those who place themselves in danger for our safety, we pray for your care and protection.
People: Lord, hear our prayers and send holy revival.
Pastor: We pray for persecuted Christians around the world and grant them strength and encouragement.
People: Lord, hear our prayers and grant your holy peace and care.
Pastor: We pray for forgiveness for the sins we have committed and ask for your forgiveness.
People: Lord, hear us as we individually confess our sins and draw us ever closer to you.
Pastor: Hear our prayers for those who could not be with us today, We ask for your healing hand upon those who are sick, grieving and those who requested prayer on the prayer chain. Lord, meet all their needs according to your amazing grace.
People: Lord, hear our prayers.
Pastor: Be the Lord of our fellowship and move in us to bring glory to your name in all that we say and do.
People: O God, pour out your Holy Spirit upon our pastors and let the message and ministry they provide be anointed by you in a way that will touch hearts and transform lives.
Pastor: We make our prayer in Christ’s name who gave his disciples and example of prayer when he prayed
All – Lord’s Prayer: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen
