Pastor: What a generous God we worship! What an extravagant
Creator, what a Source of abundance! God has filled the universe
with stars and galaxies beyond number, has filled the world with creatures and objects, colors and shapes, types and varieties, more than we can apprehend – too many to imagine! We thank You, gracious and giving God, and we praise You.
People: What a vibrant life this is! What an amazing array of experiences, relationships and opportunities! God has provided us with minds and bodies, hearts and souls to perceive and enjoy all that life contains and has called us to appreciate each unique moment, each special gift! We thank You, gracious and giving God, and we praise You. What an amazing Savior is ours! What a self-giving, compassionate Lord!
Pastor: God has entered our world and shared its challenges, has lived and died as one of us, has risen, and has opened the door to full, eternal and exuberant life!
People: We thank You, gracious and giving God, and we praise You. What a generous God we worship!
Pastor: We acknowledge that we have sinned and fallen short of your glory.
People: Forgive us Lord as we confess our sins and seek to draw into a deeper relationship with you.
Pastor: In this world of plenty O God, let us be mindful that we have been blessed to be a blessing and to care for your creation. Please forgive us Gracious God for when we have failed to love our neighbors and have taken your creation for granted.
People: Please, forgive us, Gracious God for when we have denied the goodness that we enjoy, and have forgotten how to be grateful. Remind us, O Lord, of all the good things that we have received; remind us how to enjoy and care for the blessings we experience and the joy of generosity given in the name of Christ.
Pastor: We thank You, Lord, for all that You have done for us; for all that You have given us; and for all that You have been to us.
People: We remember and celebrate Your constant grace, care and provision and our faith grows as we recognise the goodness that we enjoy. But, Lord, You have also given us the gift of prayer, and You have invited us to bring our requests to You, for You love us, and You listen to our needs and desires.
Pastor: And so we pray
● For ourselves and our loved ones
● For those who are grieving, sick and seeking hope we ask for your compassionate care.
● For our community and our country. Our leaders, protectors, first responders and citizens
● For the world, for peoples of all nations and their leaders to know the peace, provision and hope that comes from Christ alone.
● For our church we pray for protection, wisdom, vision and the grace to remain true to the call you have placed upon us
People: Lord for all these things we pray. Hear us as we pause to lift up our pastors. Grant them your wisdom and strength. Be with Pastor Ray as he brings the message. Keep us focused and make us receptive to what we are to receive. Send us out into the world energized and ready for humble, joyous and obedient service.
Pastor: We thank You, gracious and giving God as we pray together following the prayer Christ gave us
All: The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
