Leader: Gracious God, we celebrate the blessing of this day.
People: We know that each new day is a gift coming from you.
Leader: For the beauty of creation and the provision of our care we give you praise.
People: For the joy of loving and being loved, we give you thanks.
Leader: For the steadfastness of good friends, we give you we are so grateful.
People: For meaningful work to do and supportive colleagues, we thank you.
Leader: Hear us as individually we confess that we have sinned and seek your forgiveness.
People: Teach us your ways and draw us closer to you. We give thanks for Christ
who died for all who will place their faith in Christ for salvation.
Leader: When challenges and hardships overwhelm us,remind us that your grace is all around us, everywhere, to be seen if we just remember to look for it.
People: Let our prayer at the end of this day and each day be gratitude for what you have provided for our care.
Leader: We ask You to help us remain united. We pray for our church and for all of our leaders as new plans and programs are finalized. We need your holy guidance and protection. Guide us to be your faithful servants. Grant us your strength and wisdom.
People: We pray our church grows stronger in faith, love and mission. Lord make us good stewards of all you have entrusted to our care.
Leader: Lord, hear our prayers for America and ask for forgiveness for not following you wholeheartedly. Lord, send revival to our land.
People: We pray for the leaders of our nation today and the many important and critical situations they face. Give wisdom to our president and the cabinet members and the men and women in congress as well as every leader from town officials to national offices. Lead all to seek your ways.
Leader: We pray for those who protect our well-being and we ask for their protection and peace for their families.
People: We pray for world peace.
Leader: There are many among us today with special needs in their lives and the lives of those they love. Grant them a special touch of your grace, reassurance as you work in their lives.
People: We pray that our faith will not fail during these days. Bring healing, hope and restoration.
Leader: As we hear the scripture read and proclaimed, may it touch our hearts, invigorate our minds, and strengthen our discipleship of Jesus Christ. We close our prayer, united together as we pray:
All: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen
