Prayers of the People
Pastor: Lord our God, we gather together today to give you thanks and declare your greatness. Oh Lord you are our God and we will ever praise you.
People: We declare your mighty works to the whole world. We praise you for your wonderful deeds. Your power is limitless, your wisdom is unparalleled, your grace is overwhelming, your love is never failing.
Pastor: May your joy be our strength when times are hard. May your presence be the peace that overflows in our lives. Thank you also for your grace at work in their lives.
People: Faithful Father, we thank you for hearing our prayers, feeding us with your Word, and encouraging us as we turn to you.
Pastor: Lord we confess that we have failed to be your faithful people and we have sinned falling short of your glory.
People: Hear us as we repent. Bring us into your presence and restore us into fellowship with you. All praise be to you, O God.
Pastor: Hear our prayers for those who requested the prayers of the church and for all in our church family who are suffering many different kinds of need.
People: Lord hear our prayers.
Pastor: Lord, help our church body to walk in a manner worthy of the calling You have given us. Help us in all our interactions with one another to have humble and gentle hearts. Grant us patience for one another, bearing with one another in love.
People: Grant the Body of Christ unity. Guide our churches and our leaders to seek your ways in all things. We pray for your continued blessing and protection. We ask you to care for our pastors and lead them in your holy ways.
Pastor: For all who suffer for their faith we pray for your strength and compassion. Lord, be their hope and strength.
People: Today, we pray for this nation and our leaders. We pray for those on the front lines who sacrifice for our wellbeing. Grant your wisdom in this crisis and guide us to show kindness and compassion to all. Make us a living example of your love at all times.
Pastor: Let us pray for those who do not believe the gospel of Christ: for those who have never heard the message of salvation and for those who have heard and chosen not to believe.
People: Lord, hear our prayers and give us ministering words. Lord, open their hearts to your truth.
Pastor: Oh God, our refuge and strength, accept the fervent prayers of your people.
People: We pray today for Pastor Ray as he brings the message. May his words be your Words of holy conviction and change. We make our prayer in the name of Jesus who taught us to pray . . .
All: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen
